Susan Bullock Brandley

Susan Bullock Brandley passed away at the age of 63 on February 20, 2026. Susan was born to Lloyd and Carol Bullock on April 21, 1962, in Ogden, Utah, and grew up in North Ogden as the youngest of three children. She attended and graduated from Weber High School and also attended some classes at then Weber State College. She met her beloved husband, Jared Brandley, on a blind date and upon his return from an LDS mission, the two were married and sealed in the Ogden Utah Temple. Together they had three children whom they raised in the Ogden area.

Susan was diagnosed with kidney failure in her late 30’s, a diagnosis that would drastically change the course of her life. She was blessed to receive two live-donor kidneys, for which she and her family are eternally grateful. Thanks to those generous donors, she was able to enjoy an additional twenty-five years of life with her family and friends. Susan was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served in various callings over the years of her life, despite her health struggles. She was also an avid crafter, and enjoyed cross stitching, crochet, puzzles, and diamond painting items to decorate the home or give to family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Bullock, and two siblings, Cindy Jones and Brian Bullock. She leaves behind her attentive and adoring husband of 43 years, Jared Brandley, her three sons, Andrew, Craig, and Thomas, as well as her daughters-in-law, grandchildren, friends, and little dog Daisy. Her family would like to thank her care team and doctors, without whom we would have had to say goodbye so much sooner and whose attentive care resulted in many more meaningful years with Susan than either she or we anticipated. We would also like to thank Luke and Doug for the selfless gift of their kidneys, which gave her twenty-five years of precious time to spend with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Services for Susan will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Hyrum 19th Ward Chapel, located at 176 S 1300 E, Hyrum, Utah. A public visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, and her funeral will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Hyrum City Cemetery.
