Steven Fearel Woolsey was born to loving parents, Fearel Lars and Blanche Bertha Justensen Woolsey, on June 5, 1948, in Logan, Utah. Steven was the youngest of five children, Madge Gittens, Carol Henderson, Norma Al-Imari, and Dennis Woolsey. Steven married the love of his life, Janet Ward, in 1973. They were later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Steven and Janet were blessed with two sons, Zachary (Cynthia) and Zane (Brianna) Woolsey. He loved being a grandpa to Britton, Bentley, and Carter.
Steven, a man who lived life tinkering with old things, cooking, grease on his hands and a story in his heart, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026.
Steven was a man of grit and simple pleasures. If he wasn't in the gym pushing his limits at the weight rack, he could be found in the garage, likely leaning over the engine of his prized **Oldsmobile 442**. He had a profound love for vintage bikes, tires, tools and a rare, intuitive gift for fixing things that others had given up on. To Steven, a broken power wheel for his grandkids wasn't a problem—it was a puzzle waiting to be solved.
Beyond his mechanical skills, Steven was a dedicated lover of dogs and a keeper of history. He was known for his steady presence and his uncanny ability to transport listeners back to a "simpler time" through his storytelling. Whether he was recounting tales of those passed on before him or sharing stories of his youth, his stories were a bridge to a world where a handshake was enough.
He is survived by his loving wife, sons, and grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
