Shirley W. Blau

Shirley W. Blau passed away on January 22, 2026, in Logan, Utah. She was born on June 21, 1935, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Margaret and Daniel Winder.

She was the oldest of four children. She was raised in Idaho and graduated in 1953. She moved to Tacoma, Washington to help her grandmother take care of her mother who suffered with MS. This is where she met the love of her life and who would become her eternal companion, Adrian Blau. They were married April 1, 1955, in the Logan Temple. They lived in Logan while Adrian finished his education. They then moved to Richmond, where they raised their 10 children. In 1998, they served a successful CES mission in Little Rock, Arkansas. They returned home and continued serving in the Seminary program.

She is survived by 7 children, 31 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 daughters, 1 son, and 2 grandsons.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers who took such great care of our mom.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 am, at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 S 100 E, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery.
