With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Bodrero, who left this world on July 10, 2026, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
Born on October 1, 1960, she lived a life centered on family, kindness, and generosity. She was one of the most righteous people anyone could have known, and those who knew her had the privilege of loving her.
On October 5, 1984, she married the love of her life, Richard. Through their marriage, she lovingly embraced his two daughters as her own, never making a distinction between them. A few years later, they welcomed their daughter, Tessa, completing the family she treasured so deeply.
Nothing brought her more joy than being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she never missed an opportunity to show them how deeply they were loved. Whether it was a thoughtful gift "just because," spoiling the grandkids whenever she could, or making sure everyone had enough butter on their meal, she had a way of making the ordinary feel special. Her love language was giving, and she found genuine happiness in bringing joy to the people she loved.
She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the countless memories she created through simple acts of kindness. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the love she poured into each of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Philo and Phillis Rasmussen, her two sisters, Linda Booth, and Valee Bailey; and her brother-in-law, Duck Bailey.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Bodrero, her three daughters, Kimberly Kunz (Brent), Brandy Dunn (Brady), and Tessa Thornley (Matt); her brother, Lanny Rasmussen (Claudine); her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through all of us. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Following Sharon’s wishes, she will be put to rest in the Providence Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 at the Bodrero Residence.
