Roy Clift McDonald

Paradise

Roy Clift McDonald died in his home on May 13, 2022 in Paradise Utah due to complications from a lengthy Illness.  He was 85. 
 
Roy was born on March 18, 1937 to Rex Clift McDonald & Fern Davis McDonald in Heber City, Utah.  Roy met his sweetheart Maxine Lillie Provost while they both attended Wasatch High School in Heber City.  They would later marry on May 18, 1956 in the SLC LDS Temple.  Roy and Maxine had two sons Scott and Lynn.  
 
Roy graduated from USU in Logan, Utah with a bachelors degree in Wildlife Biology in 1971.   Roy had a wonderful, adventurous career with the U. S . Fish and Wildlife Service as a Wildlife Biologist.  Roy’s expertise was in animal damage control.  

After retirement Roy found his great love of driving school bus for Cache County School District for over 16 years.  As a bus driver he was able to influence many young people in their lives.  Driving the different sports teams was his all time favorite.  
 
Throughout Roy’s life he loved the outdoors and was always up for a new adventure.  Many hunting and fishing trips would be the topic for many, many stories and lessons.   He and Maxine spent countless days and nights on one of his adventures.  
 
Roy is survived by his eternal companion Maxine. Sister Kay Bowden of Saint George Utah,  Son and daughter-in-law Scott and Judy McDonald of Herriman, Utah. Son and daughter-in-law Lynn and Peggy McDonald of Paradise, Utah, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.  
 
Roy was preceded in death by his parents Rex and Fern McDonald,  father in-law Darrell Provost, mother in-law Lille Provost, brother in- laws Ray Provost & Norman Bowden.  Sister in-law Betty Bowden and Granddaughter Jennifer Erickson McDonald. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 21, 2022 at the White Pine Chapel, 753 South 100 East in Logan.   A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Internment will be In the Paradise City Cemetery.
