Ron married Marilyn Miller, they had a son, Dustin Brett. They later divorced. He married Cynthia Pritchett and they had two children, Delaney and Devin. They later divorced. He married Linda Bailey and they later divorced. He married Barbara Trolson and they later divorced.

Ron is survived by his three children and seven siblings.
