Pamela (Pam) Lowe passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 83 on November 18, 2025, surrounded by her family, to be reunited with her eternal companion, Martell.
Pam was born on March 1, 1942, to LaValle Robinson and Dorothy Northup in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Pam mostly grew up in the Salt Lake City area, with a brief time spent in Montana. She spent much of her childhood at her grandma Jessie’s home along with her two aunts. She also spent a lot of time across the street at her best friend Rae’s house.
Pam attended most of her schooling in the Salt Lake City area. She graduated from Granite High School, an achievement of which she was always proud of. She would often sing her high school song to her family: "Go it Granite, go it Granite Hear the battle cry; Go it Granite, go it Granite Yours 'til we die”
Pam met the love of her life, Martell Lowe, while working at the Hotel Utah Motor Lodge in Salt Lake City. She said she had to do a little scheming to get Martell to notice her. They married on June 28, 1962. They were blessed with five children: Martell (Nancy) Lowe, Troy (Jill) Lowe, Sheri (Shaun) Hamilton, Michelle (Tony) Kendrick, and Dustin (Amy) Lowe, all of whom live in Cache Valley.
Pam’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was everyone’s biggest supporter, and she hardly ever missed an event for any family member.
Everyone loved and knew Pam for her sass and spunk, and anyone who ever met her has a story to tell. She loved life and loved people, and she never missed the opportunity to talk to someone, whether she knew them or not. She was always eager to brag about her family.
Pam worked at several places over the years, including the café in Paradise, Wurlitzer, TRI Miller Packing (where she was the only woman on the kill floor, weighing and grading), Herff Jones, Hyrum Chevron, and Walmart as a greeter. At Walmart, she often got into trouble for leaving her post to follow people around so she could chat with them.
She is survived by her five children, 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; two brothers-in-law, Dean Lowe and Brent (Camille) Miller; and one sister-in-law, Donna (Kirby) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Martell, her sister Karen Kay and her grandson James Lowe. She was genuinely loved by all and will be missed by all those who knew her.
A funeral service for Pam will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Blacksmith Fork Church House, 176 South 1300 East, Hyrum, Utah. Friends and family may attend Pam’s viewing at the White Pine Funeral Home, 753 South 100 East, Logan, Utah, on Friday evening from 5:00–7:00 p.m. or at the church house on Saturday morning from 9:00–10:30 a.m. The interment will be at the Paradise City Cemetery.
A Note from the Family: We would like to express our deep gratitude to all of our mother’s doctors who have taken such good care of her over the years, and especially to the Rocky Mountain Home Health Care and Hospice nurses who helped her with such gentle and loving care. Special thanks to her past and current ward members along with the many others who crossed her path for all of the love and support they provided over the past several weeks. She so cherished the many friendships that she built over the past years while living in Hyrum.
We are also grateful to all the many family members and friends who are supporting us during this time. Thank you sincerely.
