Nikki
Estrada
September 21, 1939 – May 27, 2026
Nikki Audene Monson Estrada passed away in Logan, Utah on Wednesday May 27, 2026. She was born on September 21, 1939 in Montpelier, Idaho to Orlando Edmond “Mac” Monson and Audrey Thomas. She attended Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho, and attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She later received her bachelor's degree from National University in San Diego, California, and also attended law school in San Diego.
Nikki married William Zollinger in Logan Utah in 1960. They had three sons together and divorced in 1974. She married Dennis Richard Estrada in San Diego California in July 1976. Nikki and Dennis were sealed in the Los Angeles LDS temple in 1983.
Nikki enjoyed painting and working with water colors. She spent much of her adult life in San Diego, California, but returned to Providence, Utah, after Dennis retired. Nikki loved walking on the beach and missed that after her move to Utah. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in the yard and driving her large lawn tractor. She avoided sun exposure so was often found in the yard with a large brim hat, covered head to toe regardless of how hot it was outside. She enjoyed watching the change of seasons and a good book.
Nikki was proceeded in death by her husband, Dennis Richard Estrada, her parents Mac and Audrey Monson, her brother Niles Monson and his wife June Humphreys Monson. Nikki is survived by three sons, W. Thor Zollinger (Susan), Eric A. Zollinger (Shauna), and John M. Zollinger (Mindy). She also had 5 step-children through her husband Dennis, including Sherri Lynn Estrada (Leota Hanipale).
We are grateful for the loving service to Nikki from the staff at Legacy House and Terrace Grove assisted living centers, and for Robert Chandler’s many years of hospice nurse service to both Nikki and Dennis.
There will be no formal funeral services, and a family graveside service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest beside Dennis and her parents in the St. Charles, Idaho, City Cemetery.
