Nadine M. Chadwick

September 19, 1937 — May 14, 2024

Millville

Nadine Martinson Chadwick passed through the veil, and into the loving arms of her Savior on May 14, 2024. There is no doubt that many family members were waiting to greet her, but the one who she most anticipated to see was Sandy. Nadine’s constant in life was her love for her Father in Heaven, and Jesus Christ, in word, and in action. Nadine loved going to the Temple, attending church, and singing hymns.

She loved crafting, her most favorite activities being jewelry making, crocheting afghans, and using plastic canvases to create beautiful Kleenex boxes, decorative mats for tables, and toys for her great grandchildren. Nadine’s work was completely original, highly imaginative, and expressive. Her imagination was vivid, powerful, and never ending. She loved to give her works of art to anyone who wanted them. She would always bring you comfort, joy, and she was a wonder to be around.

Nadine was born in Ogden, Utah to Hazel and Orville Martinson. She was the fourth of eight children. Part of her childhood was spent on roller skates, tap dancing with her sisters, and enjoying a fulfilling childhood. She graduated in 1955 from Ben Lomond High School. Shortly after, she married Murray Sant in 1956. Together they had five children. They lived in Ogden, and Whiterocks Utah, and then made their final home in Logan, Utah, while Murray worked for the Fish and Game. After 19 years of marriage, they divorced.

Nadine married Max Chadwick in 1977 where they made their home in Nibley, Utah. Nadine lived here until 2014 when Max passed away. She moved in with Marilyn, her daughter, and Terry Huppi her son in law. She resided with them until she moved into the Cache Valley Assisted Living Center where she spent a week before passing away.

Nadine is survived by her four children, Karie Sant Balls, Marilyn (Terrel) Huppi, Bradley (Denise) Sant, and Michael (Melinda) Sant. She has 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, three stepsons Bob, David, and Jim Chadwick, and many step-grandchildren. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Hazel Martinson, sister, Marlene Povey, brothers, Vern and Dee Martinson, daughter Sandra Sant, grandson Klint Huppi, son in law Jeffery Balls, and husband Max Chadwick.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 AM at the Millville LDS chapel, 110 South Main in Millville. A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 AM at the church prior to the funeral. The family would like to thank the ICU at Logan Regional Hospital for their care of Nadine, special thanks to her angel nurse Tracie.
