Marjorie Anderson Points

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marjorie Anderson Points, an example of compassion and love, departed this life on March 6, 2025, in Logan, Utah, leaving behind a legacy in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Born on April 26th, 1949, in Provo, Utah, Margie carried an enduring spirit that touched the lives of many throughout her remarkable life.

Throughout her life, Margie was a loving and caring wife and mother who dedicated her life and career to the lives of others. A proud graduate of Orem High School, Margie pursued her academic aspirations, earning her Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. Her educational pursuits aligned with her heartfelt commitment to service, as she dedicated her career to the lives of others. As a social worker for the State of Wyoming, she focused her efforts on helping adults and children with disabilities.

Margie met her husband, Gary Points, through her sister and his best friend, who introduced them. Their first date -an evening spent roller skating- was the start of a beautiful life together, sharing in love and laughter. Margie was a nurturing presence in the lives of her family. The warmth of the family she raised will forever reflect her devotion-her children, Shannon Miller, Sunny Phillips, Garrett Points, and Amber Hansen, hold cherished memories of their mother whose love and support made her perfect in their eyes. With a legacy that extends to her 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Margie found joy in their company, often insisting that her children's visits were dependent on bringing along the grandchildren.

Family gatherings in Southern Utah, Fish Lake, and Bear Lake are held in the hearts of those she loved- memories in laughter and love, where Margie's sense of humor brought the family together. Beyond these moments, she was also a lover of fishing, playing the piano, quilting, camping, and sharing her gift in writing and reading cowboy poetry.

Margie had three loves in her life: her family, the gospel and riding motorcycles with her husband. She was admired for her sense of humor and caring personality. Margie's kindness reflected a dedication to helping others that resonated deeply, especially for those with unique circumstances.

Her siblings, Russell Anderson, Janae Jones, and Alan Anderson, along with the companionship of her family, amplify sorrow felt in her absence, a sentiment shared by all who knew her.

Margie is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Helen Anderson, and her sister, Shelley Anderson. Margie embraced the Gospel and spent her life being a great example to her family through her testimony. Margie will be greatly missed, but her spirit will forever remain alive with all that knew her, a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived.

A Memorial Service for Margie will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 S 100 E, Logan, Utah.
