Lucille Chilcott, a homemaker and the matriarch of her family, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in Providence, Utah. She was born on November 12, 1925, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and lived a long, meaningful life centered on family and the things she loved most.
Lucille was the daughter of Walter C. and Margaret Hawkins. She dedicated her life to her home and family and took great pride in caring for those she loved. She was known for her wonderful cooking and enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, and spending time working on crossword puzzles. While these hobbies brought her happiness, nothing mattered more to Lucille than her family. She found true joy in nurturing her loved ones, offering guidance, and creating memories.
Family and friends will remember Lucille not only for her home-cooked meals and beautiful handiwork, but for her steady love, gentle presence, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lucille was married to Bob Chilcott, a hardworking man and a devoted husband. Their marriage was filled with love until Bob’s passing 47 years ago. After his death, Lucille made the decision to move to Cache Valley so she could be closer to her three daughters—Bobbi Sullivan, Judy Schmitt, and Kathy Beaudoin. Being near her family meant everything to her, and she continued to build strong, loving relationships with them throughout her life.
