Monday morning October 19, 1942 Larry Ray Lindquist was welcomed to the family. Larry's father was on a navel ship sailing to India during WW2. So Larry and his mother, Mern Yeates Lindquist lived with Grandpa and Grandma Yeates in Logan Utah.
After his father returned from war Linda joined the family in 1945.
July of 1946 the family moved to Cedar City Utah. At an early age Larry would ride his bicycle everywhere. He picked up empty discarded pop bottles along the side of the highways. Returning them to the store for a whopping 3 cents each. Larry also had a paper route delivering on his bicycle. Rain, snow or sunshine. When he was 10 years old he worked at Miller Auto Parts after school stocking, dusting shelves and sweeping floors. Earning $25 a month. While attending Jr High he worked with his dad 19 hours a week and was paid $50 a month. The family moved back to Logan Utah in 1955.
Larry always loved music. His mother loved Lawrence Welk show and encouraged Larry to take accordion lessons. He was very talented at playing the music his mother loved. He had a close relationship with his mother.
After high school, Larry joined the army. Went to boot camp at Fort Ord. He was on active duty for 5 and a half years then moved to inactive duty for 3 and a half years.

In 1992 Larry and Peggy built a new building and business "Lindquist Auto Parts" in Logan Utah. As Shane and Shelly grew older they worked hand in hand with their dad to make the business successful.
Peggy passed away in 2010. In 2011 Larry purchased a lake house on the Blackfoot reservoir in Idaho.
In 2014 he met Debbie Smith and the stars once again aligned. Larry and Debbie were married in April of 2015. Bringing together 2 families creating a large, love filled family. Enjoying many, many family get togethers and holidays, creating lasting memories for all.
Larry's very favorite holiday was July 4th...celebrating our USA, with very large and Many fireworks, good food and lots of laughter.
June 2019 Larry retired, selling his business to enjoy more time at the lake. Fishing, 4 wheeling and relaxing. But he always missed his friends and customers in the Auto Parts business.
Shelly passed away June 2023. Larry was very heartbroken as we all were and still are. She is and always will be our guiding light to heaven.
January 2026, while out on walk to stay healthy, Larry fell and sustained a TBI. After a lengthy stay in the hospital, Larry returned home in hopes of full recovery. In between therapy sessions and Dr visits, Larry's wishes were to continue to have coffee every week day with Bob and Don at Smith's and Angie's as they had been doing for over 40 years. Larry was very grateful for the times they would pick him up and take him to enjoy coffee.
