Kelly Lamar Jenson

October 19, 1960 — April 21, 2025

Hyrum, Utah

Kelly Lamar Jenson, age 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Hyrum, Utah, on April 21, 2025.

He was born on October 19, 1960, in Logan, Utah, to Morgan “Bud” and Mildred “Mid” Jenson. Kelly was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. On November 8, 2003, he married the love of his life, Teresa Jenson, in Nibley, Utah. He was previously married to Terri Penrose, Tanjua Wright, and Luann Hone.

Kelly grew up in Nibley, Utah, on a small dairy farm. He was active in 4-H and high school rodeo, attended Providence Elementary and South Cache Middle School, and graduated from Sky View High School in 1979.

Throughout his life, Kelly held a wide range of jobs that reflected his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He began as a milk truck driver for Cache Valley Dairy, then became an over-the-road truck driver for Air Products. He later founded his own company, Crossland Enterprises. He also worked as a cement truck driver for Johnson’s Ready Mix, a foreman for AWS Dredge, and most recently operated his own business, Rocky Mountain Dredge.

Kelly loved the outdoors—especially hunting and horseback riding. He and Teresa shared a passion for rodeos and created a bucket list of ones they wanted to attend together. Their most recent adventure took them to the iconic Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming.

Kelly is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa, and his five children: Brandon (Hiedi) Jenson of Hayden, ID; Chase (Danielle) Jenson of Weston, ID; Derick Jenson of Huntsville, TX; Tawni (Ryan) Jenson of Post Falls, ID; and Demi (Matt) Dugan of Jerome, ID. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family including Brandon, Heather, Jeremy, Jody, Jamie, Kris, Alex, and Tyler, along with 35 grandchildren—with two more on the way.

He is also survived by his brother, Jim (Chris) Jenson, and his sister, Trudy Byington of Nibley, UT.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Roy Byington; his wife, Tanjua Jenson; and his grandson, Jay Jenson.
