Grace Beverly Murray

December 13, 1929 — September 12, 2025

North Logan

Grace Beverly White Murray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, passed away on September 12, 2025.

Affectionately called “Gracie” or “Bev” by her family, she was born on December 13, 1929, in San Rafael, California. She was the daughter of Floyd Henry and Louise Peterson White. She had one older brother, William (Bill), and a younger brother, Floyd (Pooch), and her favorite dog, Jenny.

There was a lot of laughter in her home and she kept up her families famous one-liners. Growing up Gracie spent time serving with her Mother, for the community and church. She had fond memories of Stinson Beach and her High School years at Mt. Tamalpais.

From 1948-1950, she attended Utah State University, and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She loved her time at USU and especially the abundance of young men, creating a very solid social life.

She found her true love, Louis Paul Murray. They were married in the Logan, Temple on January 11, 1951. While Paul served in the Air Force, they lived in many different states, until their family settled in Cache Valley, after his military retirement. During this time they were blessed with nine children. Gracie always had a tender heart for all babies.

Bev was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great joy discussing and teaching the gospel. She loved teaching the Cultural Refinement lessons in Relief Society. She was passionate about family history and temple work. She and Paul served four Family History Missions together.

Throughout her life, Bev was an example of great faith and determination to serve God and her family. Her humor, colorful expressions, compassion, and kindness will be long remembered by her family and others. Her love of ice cream is legendary!

Bev is survived by her nine children; Marilyn (Stuart Maughan), Carolyn (Dale Swiss), Angela (John Israelsen), David Murray (Sherry Ringer), Sharon (Steve Salisbury), Marianne (Jon Siler), Tammy (Brad Gardner), Irene (Saia Hola), and Michael (Cynthia Squires). She has 38 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, L. Paul Murray, parents Floyd H. & Louise White, brothers William W. White and Floyd H. White, Jr., sons-in-law Stuart Maughan, John Israelsen, Saia Hola, and granddaughters Kathleen and Michelle Salisbury.
