Garry Cleon Jorgensen

Garry Cleon Jorgensen, 85, passed away Wednesday morning, November 26, 2025 at home in Hyde Park, Utah. He was born November 1, 1940 in Logan, Utah to Cleon Alverdo Jorgensen and Margaret Emma Larsen Jorgensen.

He graduated from North Cache High School in 1959 and then served in the National Guard. He married MaryLynn Beck on January 8, 1965. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on January 7, 1966. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served in various callings. He served in Scouting for many years as Cubmaster and Over Advancement. He served as Executive Secretary in the Bishopric, taught Primary and served as a librarian. He was employed by Logan Manufacturing where he was a dedicated and hard working employee. He never missed a day of work in 30 years. When the plant closed, he was then employed by Petersen Equipment for about 6 years.

He is survived by his spouse MaryLynn, eight sons: Mark LaVon (MaryAnn), Brian C. (Melissa), David Garry, Scott Alan (Jamie), Bradley Wayne (Alyson), Steven Adam (Sholly), Nickolas Charles (Teresa), and Eric Rian, 21 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two siblings, Joyce Maughan (Richard) deceased and Ray (Irene) Jorgensen.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Keith Jorgensen and Maxine Peterson, parents, Cleon and Margaret Jorgensen, In-laws Maurice and Virginia Beck, Daughter in law Rhonda Jorgensen and granddaughter Kendlee Jorgensen.

He raised sheep for many years and enjoyed them. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, camping and bowling, but most of all Garry loved being with his family. He enjoyed supporting his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed long drives with his sweetheart MaryLynn. We love you and we will miss you dearly!

A viewing will be held Sunday, November 30 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the North Park 8th Ward Chapel, 42 W. 200 S. Hyde Park, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1 at 12:00 P.M. at the same church house. An additional viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 A.M. prior to the funeral services.
