Florence Irene Nebeker Hinck was born August 27, 1942, in Afton, Wyoming, to Ira Delmar and Nettie Christina Petersen Nebeker. The only daughter of three children. She was named for and shared the birthday of her Aunt Florence, younger sister of her mother, who had passed a few short years before she was born.
She grew up in Grover, Wyoming and attended Star Valley High School in Afton, Wyoming, graduating in 1960.
She met Arno R Hinck while working at the Silver Stream, when she agreed to a date she didn't believe was a serious request until he appeared at her door. She attended Brigham Young University while they dated, living with her brother Spencer and his wife, Gayle, in Provo, UT until he proposed.
Arno and Florence were married in the Logan, UT, LDS temple on June 26,1961.
After living a brief time in Smithfield, UT, they moved into their home in Hyrum, UT in January of 1963 and lived their lives there.
Mom spent her life raising two daughters, Kristen May and Catherine Irene, taking care of her mom after her dad's early passing and maintaining two households.
She spent her career of 55 years as an administrative assistant for Schreiber's Foods, Thiokol, and Utah State University. While working for the university, she was able to travel extensively around the country. She was amazing at "working the room" full of people. Meal preferences, dietary needs, appropriate contracts and information, scheduled activities, and travel arrangements were made and accomplished.
She loved gardening and keeping her lawn in precise and top condition. She was obsessed with keeping weeds out of her flowers and yard.
She loved her family, shopping, laughing, being constantly busy and on the go.
She is survived by her daughters Kristen (Dennis) Hodges and Catherine Hinck. Grandchildren Kiley (Heidi) Hodges and Cameron (Joshua) Holley and five great-grandchildren. Jade and Taylee Hodges and Brett, Gunner, and Harper Holley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Del and Nettie Nebeker, her husband, Arno, and her brothers Dennis and Spencer Nebeker.
The family wishes to thank the Hyrum 13th ward Bishopric, Relief Society and the ward members. Ascend Home Healthcare and Hospice staff and especially her nurse, Bekah.
