Earma Illeane Dennis

July 21, 1932 — April 2, 2024

Earma Illeane Wood Dennis has finished her earthly mission. Illeane was born to Francis Marion Wood and Hazel Lenora Fowlks on July 21, 1932. She was in the middle of 13 siblings. Illeane married Jeremiah Dennis in September 1951. They had four very adventurous children. Gloria, John, Jerry and Terry definitely made life interesting for Jerry and Illeane. Jerry dabbled a variety of professions which took the family to many different Utah towns. Illeane supported his adventures and made every house a home. She raised chickens, pugs and cats and begrudgingly loved them all.  Illeane was an amazing cook and caregiver. She was always looking for ways to help those around her. She fiercely loved her family and the people in her community. She knew, loved and lived the gospel. She also wasn’t shy to share her opinions. She was a firm believer in if you know better, do better. She took this saying to heart. She had a very generous way about her. She would, and has, given her last nickel to people in need. If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeremiah Dennis, her parents, 6 brothers, 6 Sisters, daughter-in-law, Paula Dennis, son-in-law, Lynn Jenson. She will be greatly missed by her sister Veone Boyington, and brother Roland Wood, daughter Gloria Jenson and sons John (Anna) Dennis, Jerry (Judy) Dennis, Terry Dennis, 10 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and so many wonderful people around her. There will be a viewing at the Elberta LDS Chapel on Sunday April 7th from 6 to 8pm. The graveside service will be at Camp Williams in Bluffdale on Monday April 8th at 10 am. The funeral will follow at the Elberta LDS Chapel at noon with a luncheon after.     The family would like to thank Erin Warren, Jeanette Christensen, Liz Sidgewick and the staff of Intermountain Healthcare Hospice for their wonderful care of Illeane.Earma Illeane Wood Dennis has finished her earthly mission.
