Diana Elise Wiegand

May 9, 1985 — August 10, 2025

Smithfield, Utah

“Feather in the wind, the birds will sing your song, your light will shine within us, even though you are gone.”

Diana Elise Wiegand was welcomed to heaven on August 10, 2025, at the age of 40, at her home in Smithfield, Utah. She was born on May 9, 1985 to Don Knighton and Cheryl Gittins in Logan, Utah, alongside her three siblings Ami, Tim, and Justin. They grew up and spent most of their lives in the Cache Valley area. She attended Mountain Crest Highschool where she completed a couple years. Later on she transferred to Cache High School where she graduated early May 23 2003.

She was dedicated to being a stay-at-home mom to her five beautiful children. She had two children, Rissa and Jaiden with her ex-husband, Brad Anderson. Later, she remarried to Daniel Wiegand on March 30, 2013 and had three children, Kazli, Emma, and Nori. Her joy was seeing her children smile and raising the family she was so proud of.

Although she was taken too soon, Diana lightened so many lives with her jokes and positivity. She also had many hobbies to be admired. She was a master plant enthusiast that could propagate any plant you could dream of. She currently has more plants in her home than you could count. She loved thrifting and was an expert with the family budget. She would use her ingenuity to save money in every aspect to provide the best possible life for her family.

Her biggest accomplishment besides her family was the opportunity to build the family home that her children could grow up in. She had many other dreams, like starting a home business. She pursued her dream and thought outside of the box to start a business that enabled her to continue her most important job of raising her children. She loved being able to wake up every morning and get the children ready for school. She always walked them to the bus every morning. The family raved about her famous casserole. Her most recent dream came true going to Hawaii with her whole family. She loved the tropical sunsets, spending quality time together, admiring the tropical plants, and enjoying the ocean waves.

Diana is survived by her husband Daniel Wiegand, children, Rissa Anderson, Jaiden Anderson, Kazli Wiegand, Emma Wiegand, and Nori Wiegand. Mother Cheryl Gittins, siblings Ami (Travis) Vicchrilli, Tim Knighton, Justin (Ashley) Knighton, several nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Christy Noble. She is preceded in death by her father Don Knighton, her nephew Damien Vicchrilli, her grandparents, her cousin, and one of her best friends, Shane.

As she was a light in our lives, we celebrate the light she radiated in a celebration of life at a later time.

A viewing will be held at White Pine Funeral Home 753 S. 100 E. Logan, Utah 84321, on Thursday August 14, 2025 from 6pm-8pm. Casual Attire.
