Clint Allen Strange

February 5, 1960 — November 22, 2023

North Logan, Utah

Clint Allen Strange passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Nov. 22, 2023. He was born Feb. 5, 1960, in Payson, Utah, to Dern Strange and Una Nielsen Strange. He was the youngest of nine children.

As a youth, Clint loved working on the farm and spending time with his nieces and nephews who were close to his age. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1978 and attended Utah State University, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Clint married his high school sweetheart, Denise Nielsen, on Sept. 12, 1980, in the Logan LDS Temple. They have been married for 43 years and have four children. Clint’s greatest accomplishment was his family. If he wasn’t at work, he was on the soccer field coaching at least one of his kids’ soccer teams with Denise helping by his side.

Then came the eight grandkids, and his life was forever changed! Clint could always be found on the sidelines cheering for the grandkids during their soccer games, dance performances, hockey games, and lacrosse games. The grandkids knew if they wanted something, they just had to ask Grandpa, and he would get it for them! He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Clint worked for Georgia Pacific in Bellingham, Wash., when he and Denise were first married. He then got a job at Thiokol in Promontory, Utah, and they moved back to Logan. Clint worked for Thiokol/Northrup Grumman for 30 years. He began his career working on the T space shuttle program and finished his career as a staff electrical engineer on the B2 stealth bomber. He was well respected in his career and treated everyone as equals. He worked for Micron in Lehi, Utah, for seven years until his first granddaughter was born, then quit his job two days later because he couldn’t be away from her. He went back to work for Thiokol, then transferred to the Clearfield plant and was currently working for Northrup Grumman.

Clint leaves behind his wife Denise; children Jeremy, Ashlee (Brett), Nathan, and Michael (Maylee); and grandchildren Kaylee, Braxton, Tatem, Kasyn, Rose, Talon, and Paisley. In addition are his sisters, Janice (Bob), and Pat (James); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Una; father, Dern; stepfather, Lee; in-laws, Jack and Thelma; granddaughter, Bailey; sister, Dawna; and brothers Jim, Richard, Johnny, Jesse, and Steve; and nephews, Wade and Justin.

The family would like to thank the Logan Regional Hospital ICU doctors, nurses, and hospice workers for taking such wonderful care of our husband and father.
