Carol Flaspoehler, age 79, passed away on April 17, 2026.
She was born on September 13, 1946, in Nephi to Fred and Ruth Chapman, along with her younger sister, Joann. She grew up performing in school plays and pageants and loved spending time working with her father in his photography shop.
Carol went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a degree in Marriage and Family Relations, beginning a career that would span nearly 40 years as a devoted therapist. Through her work with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and various treatment facilities, she touched countless lives. With compassion, wisdom, and a deep belief in the power of healing, she guided others through their hardest moments, helping them find hope, build resilience, and develop the tools needed to heal and move forward.
Carol had a gift for making people feel seen, safe, and loved. That love extended far beyond words, as she welcomed and raised her daughters, always creating a place of belonging, comfort, and care.
She found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life, playing games, sharing ice-cream, baking cookies, and making her famous homemade lasagna. She loved music and could often be found singing or playing the piano or ukulele. She adored animals and was a devoted pet mama to many over the years. Whether watching a good movie or spending time with family, Carol had a way of turning ordinary moments into something special.
She is survived by her daughters, Brittney, Ana, and Cristina; and her beloved grandchildren, Case, Miles, Ruby, and Rowan; Rayden and Ryder; and Isaac and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ruth Chapman.
A memorial service will be held at White Pine Funeral Home 753 S. 100 E. Logan, Utah on Thursday, April 30 at 5:00 PM.
Carol’s life was a quiet, steady light, one that warmed hearts, lifted burdens, and showed others the way forward. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to ripple through every life she touched.
