Aubrey Rebecca Garrett

Aubrey Rebecca Garrett, age 49, returned to her Father in Heaven on September 15, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer.

Aubrey was born on February 8, 1977, in Provo, Utah, as the honeymoon baby and the first child of Mark and Rebecca Garrett.

Aubrey spent much of her childhood in the quiet town of Neola, Utah, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors and formed many cherished lifelong friendships. She graduated from Hurricane High School in 1995, attended Southern Utah University, and later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utica, New York. Her mission was one of the defining experiences of her life and remained a treasured source of joy and memories.

Aubrey was an avid reader throughout her life and shared her love of books with countless others during her nearly 20 years of employment with Deseret Book. She had a gift for connecting with people through stories and was always eager to recommend a book or discuss a favorite author.

Aubrey is survived by her parents, Mark and Rebecca Garrett; her sisters, Kirsten (Richard) Bailey, Megan (Adam) Jurkiewicz, and Jessica (Christopher) Volkert; and her many beloved nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the LDS North Chapel, 9060 South 200 West, Paradise, Utah. Interment will follow at the Mendon City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Aubrey's memory by donating a book to a child, placing a book in a Little Free Library, or simply reading a good book in her honor.

A funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 18th at 2:00 PM at the Hyrum 18th Ward Chapel, 9060 S. 200 W. in Paradise, Utah. There will be no visitation prior.
